Wild Wisdom

parent verse 2February 4, 2016

Many times we remind our children that it is wise for them to follow our instructions and listen to the lessons we are trying to teach them; but we can sometimes forget that as parents we are their first source for instruction. We are their teachers before they ever step foot in school. As instructors and teachers, how are you preparing for instruction? Have you planned the lessons you want your kids to learn? Do you reflect on the morals and values you are trying to instill in them? What expectations are you setting or have set? How are you helping them meet your expectations? These are questions we ask teachers to answer every time our child steps into classroom, but sometimes as parents we don’t think about. Our children learn from everything we say and more importantly everything we do. Be sure the lessons you teach will help in meeting your expectations for your children. We are all a work in progress!

Who runs the world? Girls! Of course we do, and we do it with woman power. As you continue on your parenting journey remember that you are cultivating girl power into woman power. Your words, your deeds and your actions set the foundation for what your children will become. Speak life into them every day by allowing them to see and believe that they are powerful and can achieve more than their wildest dream!

This is perfect! Many times I feel like my mistakes are adding up and then I hear it, “you’re a great mommy.” Those words alone make me feel as though I can conquer the world! So keep your head up, you’re doing a great job!
